I am so blessed to be a volunteer at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, working with the Divine Spiritual Leader - Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati. For more information about Sadhviji - website - https://www.sadhviji.org/

Every evening they hold a fire ceremony on the banks of the Ganga River (Ganges River). It is called the Aarti Ceremony.
It is to purify and let go of what is keeping us from living more in the light. And it is giving thanks for the blessings in our life.
Here are some of the extraordinary Souls that are here.
1) Pujya Swamiji - the awakened Guru of the Ashram
2) Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati - an extraordinary spiritual leader of the ashram
3) Sevanandaji - a Sanyasi (renunciate monk) at the ashrom. He is an American from New York
1) On the Day I arrived, the President of India visited the Ashram. He is the man in the grey hat
2) The President is walking with Sadhviji and Pujya Swamiji
3) The ashram was heavily guarded to protect the President - the Police are in the Dingy.
4) My suitcases are in the foreground. I was arriving just before the President and the guards almost didn't let me in. They interrogated me and scanned my bags with a metal detector.
5) The President and his wife accepting Sadhviji's book
1) The door to my room and the balcony.
2) The view from the balcony.
3) My simple room
4) The staircase leading up to my room
5) The Dining room - no tables - you sit on the floor around the wall
6) Monkey on my balcony
Pictures around the Ashram
The ashram sets up "Medical Camps" in impoverished areas, where they offer doctor checkups, medications and dentistry. I was fortunate to be able to go and assist with this.
Then we went into the local village, made of tarp tents and offered meals for the children. Such a powerful and moving experience.
The streets around the ashram are filled with sights and sounds unique to India.
Talks by Pujya Swamiji and Sadhviji.
Visiting a Medical Camp
Visiting a Medical Camp
Parmarth Niketan Ashram started a school many years ago, in a town nearby. This video shows a medical camp that was set up at the school for the kids to have free medical and dental care. This is a video that I shot and edited of the visit. Some of the video footage is from Nandini, a fellow volunteer.
